Making a Change:

Books make me think.

If we don't change, we don't grow. If we don't grow, we aren't really living.

Books make me think.

I never posted while in Dove Creek about my thoughts on The Count of Monte Cristo.
That book was so beautiful, you have no idea.

There are a lot of books that really make you think. The Count of Monte Cristo is one. Edmond, the main character, goes through so many emotions and so many horrible things, that you can't help but feel for him. The woman he loves marries another- not for love but for money, for she is poor. She bears Edmond's enemy a son. For this, he believes that he can never forgive her.

How can you blame him?

While he was locked away in some dungeon on a deserted island, his accusers laid in the lap of luxury. Even though they were false accusations, he still spent thirteen years rotting away.

In then end, he finds he must forgive them for revenge is never sweet.

Snape's part in The Deathly Hallows made me cry- no joke.
Just in case people don't know: Snape is my all time favorite character and has been pretty much since book one.

I can't understand how he could seriously have lived with himself after what happened to Lily. He loved Lily to such a degree that he spent YEARS watching after her son, and in the end died for him.
He was a prat to her though, those last few years before she died. Still, reading about his memories really gives you his perspective of things, and I admire him for his bravery in facing Voldemort all those years after he came back.

Then again: I just love Severus Snape in general so I'm always on his side. Even if he had turned out bad (which I was completely positive he would NOT be)I would have still loved the character.

He died so horribly though : /
I would have just wanted to be killed straight off.
I named my cat well.
  • I read it and I was like..."Ohhhh no Rachel's gonna be a sad panda now."
  • aaah, done!
    • omfg didn't you love it?!
      • it was wooonderful, i quite enjoyed the whole thing.
        • This last movie better be nothing short of amazing or so help me...

And they better not cut off Snape's memories like they did in OotP, because a lot of people didn't really catch what was going on
          • seriously. it'd be worth it to have a longer movie than to cut out the important parts. definitely.
            • so you are off tomorrow, right?

we still need to do that whole shoping fiasco thing
              • yep, i'm off tomorrow. but i'm going out camping tonight with jason, and i'm nooot entirely sure when i'll be home tomorrow.... but count me in for when you get off that afternoon.
                • well, if you can't, no worries.

my mother found this cabinet/drawer thing that we can use to store foodstuffs and put the microwave on or something. though, putting the TV on that would make more sense, and having the microwave on top of the fridge...

Also! we need to find out who is paying for the beds because we should probably get on that
                  • indeed, indeed. so far sounds good, my mom said she'll bring the fridge home soon so we can start to plan things out more... yep.

talked to my parents about the bed thing so they at least know what's coming. i imagine we can talk it all out in person oO; probably easier.

and.. probably count on me being available tomorrow afternoon. i don't see a reason as to why i shouldn't.
  • i was soooo angry about this book
