Now as to update the world on the goings on:
Friday I stayed up with Sam to go to the Breaking Dawn release party. It was a lot of fun, actually. Saw some old friends. I didn't get a book because I'm SUPPOSED to have gotten mine in the mail. I'm PISSED because it's still not here as of today.
Saturday I got up pretty early. Of course, my dad forgot that I had to work today and didn't pack the van the night before like he said he would, so I started packing everything myself. My sister woke up to my moving things, and decided to help me. I did the bulk of it, only allowing my sister to carry the lighter things like my little tv.
I drove my car up, my parents drove the van up. After unloading my car I went to work. Basically work was more loading and unloading. Fun, fun, right?
Got back and started looking through things more. I was horrified when I looked in the cabinets and found tons of mouse droppings. Pulling up the lining showed more and it was just...gross. I can only imagine how sick those guys were. Gross.
After Parents left, I was free to chat about arrangements with Grant for the night: he was going to take me out and then he would spend the night, because that is how it was going to be.
At around five I realized I hadn't eaten anything except a few grapes and carrots that Cindy had brought. Considering I had been expecting Grant at any time, I just had two chewy bars. I forgot about making french toast so I hadn't purchased any eggs, so I went to the store and got eggs and bread. While I was gone, the plumber came by to replace the pipe. He got to the house around seven, and I was very very excited.
Grant came in and I showed him around the house. We left the plumber to replace the pipe, and we went to Mimi's Cafe. Funny thing is, we were always at least six inches apart. Once we ate, we went to blockbuster to get Ladder 48 (49?) and some other movies.
Got back and Cindy and Jen were there. They met Grant, but then we retreated to my room to watch movies. Watched Ladder first. It was excellent. Again, six inches distance. If you haven't noticed, I'm kind of more physical than most people: you know, hugging everyone. Touch is just very important to me so this six inch distance was kind of bothering me.
So! at the end of the movie I decided to hold his hand BECAUSE I COULD. Not only did he oblidge, he clasped my hand with his other hand as well. For the next movie (Jekyll+Hyde, which I immediately regretted getting because it was more sex+gore than mystery+horror)we sat back because it was straining our necks laying the way we were. More hand-holding and snuggling up to each other. We were talking at the tv, telling the stupid people to not be in dark places alone and stuff like that. They didn't listen, obviously.
In between that one and High Fidelity I changed into pjs. He went to get water and then decided he didn't want to go outside to get his pjs. We didn't actually watch that movie: we were both drifting in and out of sleep. So one time when I woke up, I woke Grant up and asked if he just wanted to turn off the movie since we weren't watching it. He agreed. I crawled back into bed, asked if a blanket was needed (NO! it was freaking hot), and snuggled up to him. Next thing I know he kisses me! I still feel all fluttery thinking about it. It was nice :P .
I just couldn't get comfortable on that bed. I might end up looking for a new mattress from craigslist because it was way too stiff for me. Woke up around six, didn't want to be awake. I moved around and went back to sleep until eight. Grant woke up this time too, and I offered to make coffee (he likes his coffee). Made coffee. Sat at the table with Cindy and him, sipping coffee. We must have sat there and talked for at least an hour or so. I made french toast and it was awesome! Or...at least I thought so...
We started watching the Princess Bride to kill some time before Grant and I went to my parent's house (it's awesome having to distinguish between MY house and my PARENT's house. LOVE IT). We didn't finish it, but we had to get going.
Upon getting there I was greeted to my brother locking the door. Nice. I was quite impressed with how Grant made sure to shake everyone's hand, even my grandpa's. Showed him around. Grabbed his hand at the top of the stairs. The height difference isn't too bad. I didn't talk much- there wasn't much to talk about on my part: I just kept making faces at my mom.
So my mom completely overdid it, not that I minded too much but... yeah. She had us sitting at the dining table with really formal place settings and a white table cloth.
Grant seemed to be pretty comfortable talking to my family as soon as they started talking about something he knew about- tractors and farming techniques. Again, didn't have anything to bring into the conversation so I was mostly quiet.
Went back home so that Grant could be on his way. It was a quiet ride home: I didn't know what to say. He was leaving and I wouldn't see him for another few months.
Got home, said hello to Michelle, and Grant cleaned up his stuff and went out to leave. Stood there for a couple minutes hugging and stuff. After a bit he said that I need to choose when I'm going to go down, and he'll pay my way there. I asked at least three times if he was sure, he said that he was positive.
After he left I did a lot of cleaning of walls and floors. They were disgusting. The wall right by the door was particularly disgusting. After that, and cleaning out the bathroom vent, I helped michelle build her desk. That was fun, actually.
Ate some pizza, bought a plunger, fixed the toilet, and hid my laptop. At home I was just so very tired. I talked to my mom, and she told me that they liked Grant. Yay family approval. I told them I was tired, so I took a shower and then called Grant. After my call I get a text: I pretty much am in love with you.
And that is that.
Today I work both Pioneer and Pier 1. Might try to hop out a bit early from Pioneer so that I can get the bolts for my bed frame- I really would like to get my matress off the floor
Edit: I purchased a ...thing that should extend my cell area. It was...kind of expensive. BUT I really need it because I almost got in trouble the other night because my mother couldn't get a hold of me in my house so...yeah. The only bad reviews are from people with at&t who were too stupid to read the manufactorer's note that this device doesn't work with that service and people who are not EXTENDING their service but rather trying to actually GET service. I know I have service on the stairs in our house, but not in my room so I'm pretty sure it should work. It should be here this week and I'll install it this weekend. I'm thinking about getting out of here early (4-ish) since I ate lunch while working AND my dad forgot to pack me a dinner so I'll run to the house and grab something. Maybe some carrots if they are still there...
anyway. Yay.
on that note, Congrats on the house! mouse poop and such is pretty common to find considering, the real question is if you still have mice, and how you are gonna get rid of them.
blah blah blah, 14 imaginary paragraphs, blah blah blah
have fun at work! Have you gotten your credit card yet? or am I still too early?
~Ben
It should be in this week. I think...
I miss you... and I just saw you like a week ago. We should probably hang out more. I'll see if I can't come see your house sometime... in the future.

er...well, mostly clean. I still wouldn't trust the floor until we clean the carpets.
