You take the pieces of the dreams that you have

Add to Memories Tell A Friend
Okay. so.

Got home from Ben's house today. Talked to my mom, ate cocoa rum balls (delicious), and picked up my brother. An hour after I pick up my brother, mom calls from Pier One asking for me to pick her up.
Get there, she is crying all over the place and in quite a bit of pain. She says go home, I say doctor. I take her to the ER. Ultrasound identifies a cyst. There is the culprit. Doctor says they are "typical" and... I'm skeptical but whatever. They give her pain meds and FINALLY release her at like ten at night.

Here I am now rushing to get laundry done before I leave tomorrow.

I'm really excited to leave, I'm not going to lie. However, I also would like to stay... But it's going to feel the same way when I have to leave Dove Creek next wednesday.

I got a solid C in physics, which makes me VERY VERY happy. Not taking that horrible horrible class ever ever again.

Um. Last night Ben and I had our first official date (unofficially you could actually say that our first date was...oh god, two years ago? around this time? We went ice skating) Qudoba and a movie. We saw Nobel Son and it was AWESOME. Alan Rickman is still a sexy beast.

HOWEVER, Ben's been feeling dizzy and so he went to the doctor today (well I guess it's actually yesterday now...) and he is sick. Poor Ben.

Really that's it. Quick update for you all.

Have a great week. :D

Say all I need

Add to Memories Tell A Friend
First week back was alright. Nothing much happened, half of the classes were canceled. I must say, I'm actually enjoying things so far- it probably won't be that way for long though.

Friday I got out of class at two. Pretty much booked it out of Golden, got home around three thirty-ish. Prepared myself for Olive Garden, which was delicious. I got Chicken Scampy and it was pretty darn good. Chris tipped the waitress like...50 dollars or something. Needless to say, she was giddy. Left for Chris's house and got to hang out a while there. It was VERY fun.

Worked- it was pretty busy yesterday. It'll be picking up more here in a month or so, since the holidays are over. I got back and mom had purchased some christmas ornaments for a tree for me. Real nice breakable bulbs- Severus will have tons of fun with that.

Ben picked me up around seven (he had gone skiing that day). He made reservations for Benihana's- a great place where they cook Asian food in front of you, but it was for eight so we went to Barnes and Noble. I pointed out a book I was saving up to buy (because it was about thirty bucks and I really don't have much money right now). He picked up and took it to the check out lane with him- then when we left handed it to me. It was really sweet of him.

At Benihana's we were seated with a family of four and a couple. The family of four consisted of a four year old, her mother, and the mother's parents and it was the mother's mom's birthday. The couple were really chatty and the guy got hot sake. I must say- when I turn 21 I want to just TRY sake.

The bill was like...fifty bucks. I kind of felt bad.

We went back to his place and watched most of The Cave- it was okay.

He dropped me off at my house. The door was locked.

Today I went to church, everyone was actually in a good mood for a change. I felt included, finally. While I feel it is kind of important for me to go to church, I hate how if you haven't been going since you were six you won't be included.

Watched The Godfather (or bits and pieces of it- I fell asleep a couple times) until it was time to pick Michelle up. Chilled with her family and Jason for a bit.

Now I'm here with Age of Mythology on my computer and no desire to do my physics homework (though I guess it's due NEXT monday, but still...).

And my face is broken out and looks like the moon. Delicious, no?
The End.

So updates are needed

Add to Memories Tell A Friend
Well, I went to my cousin's party on friday. She had this cloth on the table with hand-prints from various parties in the past. I saw a print of my Aunt Vanessa's (the aunt that technically isn't my aunt who died of breast cancer). I sat down and just stared at it for a while. As soon as I got the courage, I put my hand over it. I have the exact same size hand as she did before she died.

My sister's party was uneventful. I skated with my "fiance" quite a bit. And Blake. Oh Blake was just zooming every which way, it was cute.

My mother and the lady across the street (Mary) have obviously been plotting and they want me to date Mary's grandson. He's about...22? 23 maybe. His name is Ben. He's nice enough...I guess. Whatever. I guess my parents want me married off. I am their first, so I suppose it's only right of them to want that, right?

Went to dinner with Xuy tonight. I was told not to consider it a date unless he paid, which he didn't. So it wasn't a date. It was fun though. I'm not denying that. However, House will always be better than Heroes. Always. Period.

And that was my update. Stay tuned for more...maybe. We'll see.

Shhhh, Josh is sleeping

Add to Memories Tell A Friend
So last night was pretty fun. Met Josh at around six thirty at the bus stop. Designated him navigator, and we headed to the corn maze.

Amazingly, I didn't really get lost at all (until JOSH told me to go the wrong way). Parked, headed toward the corn maze.

And just a note to those people who go to the corn maze: bring OFF. I got eaten alive.

We got into the maze and really didn't start hitting dead ends until we re-entered an hour later. These girls kept following us, and so we tried to lose them. They were really loud, and it wasn't exactly appreciated. Once we finally got out of the maze, we shared funnel cake (which was delicious).

Left about half an hour before the maze closed, Josh told me to turn left, but I really should have turned right. Good job Josh :P

Made it back with little to no trouble. Decided to go out to eat. We went to Woodley's for pizza (which I didn't mind because it was actually GOOD pizza). Rachel Haag texted a hello for me to Josh's phone. I miss her. While at dinner we decided to try and stay up until six.

We got back, started watching Battle Royale, but in the middle the disk started skipping and crap. So then we watched Three Musketeers. We just talked for a bit after that. Made coffee. Put in The Illusionist. After a while Josh started nodding off, so we went to bed. It was three.

I woke up at seven, and I didn't want to wake up Josh so I tried to sleep more, but it didn't work so well. I went in and out of sleep for about an hour. Then just gave up and got up and started moving around.

Took a shower while Josh still slept. He woke up a bit and had breakfast, but now he's sleeping again and it's almost noon.
The other girls are going to the football game. They really want me to go with, but I really...don't want to? Well, I guess deep down I kind of want to, but I'm kind of miffed at Matt Stiasny so I really really don't want to see him right now.

You see, I see him a lot around campus. We actually have Chemistry Lab at the same time. I gave him ONE computer to give to my cousin, with the promise that I would get a computer for his mother EVENTUALLY. We have to give computers to my family first.
Ever since then he doesn't acknowledge that I exist. I mean, whatever right? The only reason I'm mad about it is because I was so OBVIOUSLY used, but I still decided to give his mom a computer. I could have said no, but I'm nice.

Then again, I love Jainey to bits.
But still! ugh.

ANYway. Josh is still sleeping. I think I want to wake him up, but that's just mean. His feet are dangling about three feet from my head and it is just SO temping to grab one.

I want to see Across the Universe

The Exodus is here

Michelle freaks out when there is a lack of posting, by the way.

Nothing too much is going on.
There is a camping trip planned for the first week in october. Warm enough to not be hot yet cold enough to be awesome. Confirmed participants are as follows: Caley, myself, Josh, Ben, and Chris.
It will be great

Date with Josh on Friday. We're going to the corn maze at Botanic Gardens. It's going to be great. I can't wait.

I was going to spend the night at the Allen Residence, but my mom just had her appendix taken out, and they really want to see me. This weekend, family is first. Sorry guys.
Well, on Monday I got a call from dad and he had to pick up Amy from the ER. I thought she just had an accident (like she does...a lot) but it ended up that my mom had a cat scan and they found that her appendix was on the wrong side of her body. Later it exploded.

Yay.

Mum called me and was sounding so horrid.So...yeah.

But camping, guys. Camping.

I'm in a lot of pain right now, and I don't know why. It's odd.

Rawr.
I'm so excited for the weekend, you have no idea though. SLEEP IN. HELL YEAH.

Save a horse, ride a cowboy? ftw?

SO. Date with Josh last night. The theater idea was a good one. It was definitely worth it (and yes, it was more comedy than romance).

Went to 13th and Ford to find him, and mistook this one guy crossing the street as him. It was slightly embarrassing, but oh well. We laughed about it afterwards.

Came back to the dorm, Cindy met Josh. Josh also met most of the girls on the floor. The girls were trying to make him feel uncomfortable I think, but he just turned their words around on them...pretty much.

Brittany:"what are your intentions with our Rachel?"
Josh: "Those are kind of private" /suggestive look
Grace:"If your penis looks like this" /finger bent "then you are doing something wrong"
Josh: "No, if it looks like that then SHE'S doing something wrong"

My first time making reservations for something. Awesome, huh?

The play was about this couple who got together and not two months afterword, they got married. At the wedding the girl and this old man trade places (think Freaky Friday), and it was great. Very vulgar in some places though...

Got back and there was a condom and a "sex mix" CD taped to the door- Gifts from Grace and Brittany. I felt like taking the condom wrapper and just...leaving it on the floor right in front of the door to Brittany's room, but that's just a waste of a condom. You can make perfectly good condom bombs with those.

Made rice, watched a bit of house, and I think we went to sleep around...one? One. right.

It was pretty freaking awesome.

Woke up, had coffee, and I'm wearing a skirt.
Drove Josh to his house in Aurora (since the phone store was closed until ten, and we were there around eight...). Now I am at work.

And the paper in the printer is jammed. joy.

I really just want to go back to the dorm and go to bed. Yes, dorm. not home.

go update, go!

So, Michelle basically said everything about yesterday morning, so I'll start in the afternoon.

I was supposed to be studying for the chem test but I figured, hey, if I don't know this stuff now, when will I know it? So I cleaned and ironed my sheets. They are less wrinkly now and I think I can live with that.

I really need to focus more. focus, rachel, focus. Sometimes I think I need A.D.D. pills like my brother.

My NHV teacher gave me the weekend to make up that paper I didn't turn in about two weeks ago. "I don't want you starting in the hole." He's pretty cool. I don't know why everyone seems to dislike that class, it's really not all that bad. Just suck it up.

A bunch of the girls on the floor and I went to dinner. As always, the discussion went to sexual escapades. The boys at the table behind us were listening intently, and Grace was very outspoken on how they could look all they want, but they'd never get any. It was rather funny.

Test was fine, but I still haven't memorized my cwid, which is apparently what every class needs on an almost daily basis.

Need to go in to the prof. and tell them my cwid so my test can be graded. do that monday.

I think I did okay on the test, maybe not GREAT, but okay.

I tried to sleep last night, it took me about two hours. There was no michelle typing at the computer, so I couldn't sleep. Music was turned on in order to help me sleep. It was...not that great.

/sigh.

Josh is going to be here in approx. three hours.
And I was just asked what I am going to wear.

"What are you going to wear? because if you're wearing that you'll look like a hot, sexy mama"

Oh Grace.

It's not every day...

Add to Memories Tell A Friend
So, by popular demand (or just Michelle and Cindy asking)I guess I should talk about what went down yesterday.

First off, I only got lost once I was actually IN Boulder. and I was actually within one block of Josh's place, so it wasn't that bad. Boulder really sucks if you are driving around. REALLY sucks. Though, if you are walking around it's probably a dream.

Got there taking highway 93, which took me about half an hour. It seemed like forever though just because I was kind of terrified of all the turning that had to take place.

Once there Josh showed me around the apartment. He lives there with two other girls (one of which is actually an ex of his, which is pretty amazing). It's a nice place, sure enough, but it's really cramped. The halls are only big enough for one person to get through- I don't know how I would feel about that.

After the tour, we went to this tea shop. I got a mint tea, which was delicious and made my breath smell like I had just brushed my teeth. He had Vanilla Bean which, when mixed with creamer and a buttload of sugar, tastes just like ice cream.

He's pretty fun to talk to, I must say. It isn't meaningless conversation, but it isn't exactly intellectual. It's just there and it's more than just talking about the latest anime or video game.

After tea we went back to his place to watch "The Science of Sleep". It was probably the weirdest movie that I've ever seen. It's in English, French, AND Spanish. WTF? Choose one.

After the movie ended we pretty much decided that you'd have to be on acid or something to actually GET that movie.

It was pretty late, so we kind of just fell asleep. I texted Michelle at one point saying "I'm home" to basically say I wouldn't be back at the dorm that night. I don't know why I said that specifically- I was really out of it at the time so maybe that's all I could think of to say?

It was very cozy.
Woke up to someone entering the apartment- it was one of Josh's roommates. Josh stayed up for about a couple hours with her and the other guy that was there. I didn't care to meet anyone at that time of night so I just went back to sleep. Woke up again to Josh back in bed. I couldn't fall back asleep, so we talked a bit. Finally fell asleep again around four thirty or so. Alarm at six. We both kind of crawled ourselves to the kitchen. He offered to make coffee. At first I accepted, but then looking at the clock I realized I probably shouldn't have any because that would require staying and I needed to get home so I could shower and junk.

He told me how to make it to I-70 (he was a street off by the way) but I made it home at around seven so I could shower before work.

Work was slow. I did not enjoy the four hours I spent there...I couldn't even surf the internet! My computer was busted...

Then I went home to pick up the extended versions of Lord of the Rings for Stephanie.
I told her of my dates with Josh and she promptly said he has a "reputation"
I guess it is nice that she is looking out for me?
Though, at this point in time it kind of makes me nervous. But, she has been wrong about reputations, and they don't REALLY know each other that well. Maybe it's a rumor. Still, caution must be used.

Good thing there is that one point that I draw the line, right? Mmmmm morals.
