Oh save my soul

Today was really uneventful.
In chem we did radioactive decay- which I USED to be good at, and apparently I still am even though I don't really know what I'm doing. I guess that's a good thing?

Let it be known that I LOATHE physics. There is no love for the subject.
Went to physics, it was alright. I kind of understand friction because I did the required reading, so I guess I should read the book more often than everyone else seems to have done and I'll be good.

Don't you love it?
<3 for michelle

ANYway. At the butt-end of physics there was a fire drill. So we got out a whole minute before we really should have (or he gave extra credit to the ones who came back...oh well).

Calculus was alright. A few people came in late, including Sean (if you haven't noticed, he's the person I like at the moment). Though most were only like a minute late, he was five minutes late.
Root is still just as boring as ever. Honestly it's hard to stay awake in the class.

Earth was amazing, as usual. We studied Sedimentary rocks and it made me squee with delight- I actually know what he's talking about and that's a wonderful feeling.

Came back to the room, and I wanted to go outside. I grabbed Cindy and Lisa and headed out, leaving a note for michelle to come and join us. However, we met her coming up the stairs and asked her to join us. She agreed, probably only because we didn't push her to play.

Lisa, Cindy, and I threw the Frisbee around a bit. None of us are really that great, but it was fun. Went to the coffee shop afterwards. Michelle has lots of pictures.

Went to slate with Andrea, Fish (Ashley), Laura, Eilene, and this girl named Sarah. Andrea kissed me on the cheek, it was awkward.

Guys gave me looks as I left- probably stemming from the Andrea-kiss.
Saw Matt on the stairwell, waved hello. Came back to the room and here I am, updating.

Now, aren't you glad you read all that?

Where does one PUT the receptors?

So, I had a pretty awesome time the past couple days.

Went home on friday, delivered cake to Maz.
She was happy, but in a rush. But I'm glad we gave her a cake.
Chatted it up with Christina for a bit, then Cindy (I keep spelling it "Cinday") wanted Chinese. Michelle doesn't like food that is not American so we dropped her off at home. Took Cindy back to my place of residence and then she fled to go get food.

Not half an hour later, I got a call from my cousin. "We're here!" So I went to the hotel, which I actually could have gotten to by taking parker road...but anyway, getting there was an adventure. Got to hang out with my cousins a bit. Drove them around to stores so Maranda could get a bathing suit. Ryder slept most of the time.

Matt's plane was delayed because of the Rockies game (we won against the Yankees BTW). So while we were out shopping, Eric was preparing just in case he had to accept Matt's Scholarship for him. We got back, and apparently Eric didn't have to accept it, so we felt bad for getting dinner without him. Called mom around nine to ask if I could stay with them for the night. She said I had to clean the litter box...So I went home and the litter box was already taken care of. I was...kind of annoyed because gas is fsking expensive.
But I gathered stuff I'd need for the next day and left.
Got back and apparently they had gone to Joe's Crab Shack. So we (being my little cousin and I) walked there. They had ordered stuff. I wasn't so hungry, so I got a chocolate shake. My Aunt let me taste her margarita (or whatever it was) and I have come to the conclusion that I don't like it. You know, they say you can't knock it until you've tried it. And I didn't like that one bit.
Talked with Matt and Eric's mom. Apparently Matt applied for Mines Park as well, so he was pretty excited. He got his application in at about the same time we did.

We played on the playground they had there, and the boys were amazed that I could cross the monkey bars so quickly.

Got back to the hotel and went to bed. Woke up to Jainy (again sp?!) knocking on the door. She took Ryder with them to go eat breakfast while we got up.

Ate breakfast, then headed out to Elitches. We got there, and went to the back of the park to start. It was mostly Matt and I riding the rides because they all didn't like roller coasters and we couldn't get enough of them. At around one we went to the water park. That was...not so fun. I don't like my upper legs too much and I'm sure it showed. Decided to head back to the hotel. I was suffciently burnt, and after we played in the pool a bit, I went to sleep. After half an hour they were like "Rachel, get up. You need to show us the way to your house!" So...got up.

They are not used to city traffic, so it was hard to make sure that they were behind me. At one point I made it through a light, and it turned yellow right as I got to the middle. So, I had to go off to a side road, turn around, and wait until I saw them in the distance. Then I got back on the main road and made sure they got behind me going onto Arapahoe.

We got to the house safely, and they were surprised that I even knew where I lived because there were so many houses around. They are used to their two acres per house thing.

Sat around, Erik was actually pleasent. Erik was like "I could have gone" and it made me look bad. I had expected Aunt Michelle to INVITE THEM if she wanted them coming along. She merely asked me if I wanted to go, could have asked my parents about Erik and Amy.
Honestly though, I'm glad he didn't go.

So...got the mail, and played a bit of budikai 3, then they had to leave. Lots of hugging and stuff. They left. I went to bed.

Got up this morning and felt all sorts of lonely. I don't know why it's getting to me so badly lately. It just is.
/shrug.
I'd like sean to call, I'm not going to lie.

But I had a fun time, and I'll be heading to Dove Creek next weekend.

And I am working a full day today. yay?

Might go over to Goodwill and look into buying vests and jackets.
I'm trying to...look more professional at work. They don't take me seriously, and it's really starting to get to me.

If only if only...

I had fun.

Spent most of the time with Matt, since Eric wasn't in to roller coasters.
I feel bad, a lot of my time usually spent with Maranda was spent with the boys.
It's kind of hard though, since she has Ryder to worry about. I guess I'm just used to Aunt Michelle watching him while we go out and do fun stuff.

I'm going to Dove Creek in a week :D

I'm really excited. Jainy (still can't spell that right..) was like "oh make sure you come see us!" and "you better come see us!" and I'm like "yes, I know. I won't leave without hanging out with you"

Erik (my brother this time) was actually nice!!
I say that because usually when I have friends over, he's the meanest thing ever and continuously makes fun of me. This time he actually played a game with me. I got frustrated because he's better than me, but he did play.

I'm really really burnt right now. I hope I don't peal, but I'm sure I will. I wish I could tan...
I also wish other things.
But we don't always get what we want, neh?
more to come, I'm just so exhausted and I have work tomorrow.

So I'm getting all antsy. I have a bit of work that needs to get done, but I can't get it done until the other IT lady gets me the answers that I need (because I refuse to email that guy again). So...sitting. I could do the rest of my Thank You cards I suppose. Look busy, you know?

but typing like this makes me looks busy. I had coffee for the first time in forever this morning. Not the best. I kinda want to buy some creamer just so there is some GOOD creamer out there, but that would cost money, neh?

Getting off at noon (exactly four hours of work) and then going to deliver cake to Maz :D. finally.

Theeeeen I need to run to the bank and deposit some money. After that, my cousin should be here so go and pick her up. maybe Ryder too, but I'm not sure. I'd really rather just hang out with my cousin, but seeing as she has a kid...yeah. It is kind of difficult. That's what you get for getting pregnant! He's cute though, so I'll forgive her. :3

Annnnnd she wants to go to Target. At first when she was on the phone, I was like "Target?" "Yeah, they have really nice stuff there!"

You must understand, the only clothing store around Dove Creek is Wal-Mart. Target is like...The Loft in comparison.

There is this Super Target close to where they are staying, but I don't really know how to get there so I might end up taking her to the one over by Lowes.
I have a target gift card :D

I'm going for only two diet cokes today. Think I'll make it? I'm almost finished with one. Might take one when I leave...

And I never told my boss I was taking tomorrow off...oops. : /
well, I suppose I'll just take it off and get lectured later about how I'm supposed to talk to my boss about it. Goodness, I'm so horrible with procrastination. If I just did things when I'm told to do them, I'd have so much more free time. Oh! need to call the school. I can't find my grades (I think Erik took them because he didn't want mom to know that his grades came in too) so I need to get an unofficial transcript sent.

um. yeah. Might take Maranda (and possibly Eric?) to a movie tonight. I don't know when Matt gets in (he's flying in?) so...yeah. Maranda wants me to spend the night at the hotel with them. I might, just because I miss seeing them.

And then next week we go to Dove Creek :D
I'm excited. I get to stay for the 4th this year! /dance
It's the same every year, but it's so much fun (when you're with the right people). There's the dance on the 3rd, the parade on the 4th (and fireworks!), then there is usually something on the 5th. I have to leave that friday though, which is a bummer. Only one extra day for almost 200 dollars. worth it though, in my opinion.

Saturday I'm working a full day. Gotta pay for that spa day! :D I'm pretty excited. For spa, not work.

Secretly hoping for a phone call. That would be nice.

Oh! reminds me! Need to call Chris! He wanted to hang out with Maranda, so he might be shopping with us!

Nothing else really to say. Just...one hour and fifteen minutes or so to go.

ew, my face is dry

alternatives completely rock

So!

Went to DQ with Sean. Waved to Michelle and Allison multiple times, because I could.

Ate and talked about random stuff that just came up. Like how some times Sean plays this Star Wars game that is like D&D except ... with Star Wars.
I laughed profusely.

Michelle sat and chatted with us for a while. Too bad she can't go to lunch tomorrow /sadfaces.

I still want to go to the reservoir though. Maybe plan something party-ish for there? That would be fun. Or so I think... Invite bunches of people...

BUT! anyway.

Went over to his house and played this...card game. I lost most of the time, but it was fun. We also watched Cowboy Bebop! One of my favorite animes...

But it was awesome. Awesomeawesomeawesome.

This is the last day

Add to Memories Tell A Friend
Today is the last day that our basement will be unoccupied.
Tomorrow grandparents move in.

Dad is taking off today and tomorrow because he needs to help them move in. They are pretty old to be doing this.

So I am at work alone. Well, without my father. I kind of like it better when he is here because then I have someone to talk to. I feel really awkward around everyone else. Especially people my own age- which is odd.

There is this boy here working for office services. Yeah. He goes (is going?) to Texas A&M. There is this girl here who is a senior at CSM. Haven't met her yet. I've been told to, but I really just want to stick to my computers. My computers don't make me feel inferior.

Don't get me wrong! They aren't actually DOING anything to make me feel that way. They just know so much more and it makes me feel small in comparison.

But they all have been alive longer than me so I suppose I shouldn't really feel like that.

oh well!

Yesterday was odd. I was supposed to hang out with Chris. But I didn't.
And so...probably going to go over and offer up some soda because I feel bad for ditching them...and I should. I do this all the time to people.

I bought seasons one and two of House! I'm excited. It should be in the mail today, at my house by friday. Saturday at latest.

Annnd Maranda called the day before yesterday. My Aunt and Janie (sp?!) Stiasny are going to be here for a Tresurer confrence or sommat and so Maranda, my other cousin Felicity, my second cousin Ryder (Maranda's boy), Matt, and Eric are all going to be here. Soooo we're going to Elitches on Friday (not this one, the next friday) and stuff like that. yay?

Mom bought my ticket for coming back from Dove Creek...so I can stay another day there. This is exciting.

:D

There are probably only a few things that could make this day any better- now that I look at it.

today...was fantastic

Went shopping earlier today, saw stephanie so we decided to band together to shop.

there is this peanut butter and jelly place over by the theater. SOOOOO bad for you but SO good.

it was fantastic.

Then got home.
An hour later Michelle and Carissa came by to see puppies. forgot my pin number for getting money from the stupid machine so I had to search for it. We then proceeded to the machine. got forty bucks. THEN to the rink!

That was fun, haven't skated in a while so it was interesting. The ...couples were making me rather ill though. It was...too romantic-y for me. I'm not the romantic type (though sometimes I wish I was...) and...it makes me jealous. I couldn't be romantic to save my life and here are these girls holding hands with their guys being sickly cute and ugggggh. ew.

But it was definately fun talking to Michelle and Carissa. I liked the conversation about stubs the best. I don't know why but it was fun. with the fitted sled to mold to his stubs (legs that are gone at the knee or something) perfectly. XD ohman.

It got really cold, so we left about 15 minutes before our two hours were up. Got into Old Chicago. It was crowded so we had to wait. nothing was making us warm. Finally we were seated (they numbered the thingy mabob wrong...the thingy mabob that I thought was a base to charge them...XD).

We ordered yummy food and talked. Carissa and I ate the lettice-like stuff that they decorate with. It tastes like a mixture of lettice and broccoli. Not. Very. Good. Then ordered real food. talked more. Finished food. Loitered a bit, though it wasn't busy so it wasn't like they were hurting for seats. I think everyone left around us because we were laughing so much. I'm sure some people in there were like "stupid kids, always making a racket". It was super fun though. Loved it.

Haven't laughed so much in the course of an hour in a long long time.
